OAKWOOD VOLLEYBALL COMES UP SHORT AT FISK

Nashville, Tenn. – Oakwood University put up a fight here Thursday night, but it wasn't enough as Fisk University came away with a 3-0 win in an HBCUAC volleyball match inside Henderson Johnson Arena.

The Bulldogs downed the Ambassadors 25-16, 25-17 and 25-22.

Oakwood fell to 10-15 overall and 8-7 in league play. Fisk improved to 22-14 and 13-1.

Kamaria Murray led the Ambassadors with seven kills.

Cameryn Bucknor had 10 assists. Miriangie Rondon led the way with 10 digs. Myah Beasley and Murray finished with seven apiece.

Sydney Willis paced the Bulldogs with nine kills, while Regan Jones and Trinity Crawford finished with eight each.

Trinity Britt finished with a game-high 23 assists and added 12 digs. Nialah Gupton led Fisk with a game-high 16 digs.

Oakwood is back in action Monday night at Miles College. First serve is set for 6.
