OAKWOOD OUTLASTS WILBERFORCE IN FOUR SETS

Wilberforce, OH – Oakwood University needed four sets, but the Ambassadors outlasted Wilberforce University Tuesday night 3-1 in an HBCUAC volleyball match.
 
The Ambassadors won 23-25, 26-24, 25-16 and 25-21.
 
Oakwood improved to 10-14 overall and 8-6 in league play, while Wilberforce fell to 2-24 and 2-13.
 
Kamaria Murray led the Ambassadors with 13 kills. Anna Jones and Anaya Williams finished with six and five, respectively.
 
Cameryn Bucknor had a game-high 18 assists.
 
Myah Beasley led a number of Ambassadors in double-figure digs with 35. Murray finished with 26, Bucknor 25, Williams 21, Miriangie Rondon 17, and Shania McKelvey and Jones 11 apiece.
 
Jones also had six aces.
 
Kamauri Sheppard led Wilberforce with 17 kills. Dolceanna Crosby and Jamaya Johnson had 13 assists apiece, while Chania Blair led five Wilberforce players in double figure digs with 41.
