OKELLO NAMED OAKWOOD'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Mona Okello, a 5-foot-6 sophomore middle blocker from Kansas City, KS., has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.
 
In two matches during the week of Oct. 14-20, Okello finished with 14 kills, 16 digs, six aces and two assists.
 
She had five kills, four digs, two aces and one assist in a loss to Philander Smith, then posted nine kills, 12 digs, four aces and one assist in a win over Wiley College in the HBCUAC Crossover.
 
Okello and the Ambassadors are back in action this week. Oakwood visits Wilberforce University Tuesday night before taking on Fisk University Thursday night.
