COLUMBUS, Miss. – Oakwood University men's soccer will try to notch its first win of the season today when it takes on Mississippi University for Women (MUW) at 3 p.m. at the Roger Short Complex.

The Ambassadors, in their first season as an NAIA member, is 0-0-1 after tying Fisk University 3-3 a week ago. Meanwhile, the Owls are 0-4-1 with two of their four losses by one goal.

Shima Sende (Makurdi, Nigeria) led Oakwood with two goals against Fisk, including the game-tying goal to preserve the tie. Akio Lopez (Gunma, Japan) scored the other goal. Lopez sustained an injury against the Bulldogs, but Oakwood coach Frank Davies said he practiced Thursday and was cleared to play.
