HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Cameryn Bucknor finished with a double-double and Mona Okello just missed coming away with another one as Oakwood University outlasted Rust College 3-2 Wednesday night in an important Gulf Coast Athletic Conference volleyball game at the W.A. McMillan Center.

The Bearcats won two of the first three games, but the Ambassadors battled back to take the last two games, 25-21 and 15-11, respectively.

Oakwood, which snapped a three-game losing streak, improved to 4-8 overall and 2-5 in league play with the win. Rust fell to 4-16 and 2-5.

Bucknor (Huntsville, AL) finished with 25 digs and 27 assists to lead the Ambassadors. Okello (Overland Park, KS) led Oakwood with 10 kills and had nine digs, just missing a double-double. Nataeya Dickerson (Hampstead, MD) had six blocks.

Gabriella Grabriel led the Bearcats with 16 kills. Annie Narvaez had 24 digs and Saraih Taylor finished with 24 assists.
