A day after holding off Tougaloo College on Senior Night, Oakwood University volleyball didn't have the juice it needed to knock off Rust College Sunday afternoon.

The Ambassadors, trying to position themselves for the upcoming Gulf Coast Athletic Conference tournament, fell to the Bearcats 25-18, 25-17 and 25-16 at Ashby Auditorium in their last home game of the season.

Oakwood fell to 7-13 overall and 5-10 in league play with the loss. Rust improved to 9-22 and 7-8.

Anna Jones (Attalla, AL) led the Ambassadors with five kills. Mona Okello (Overland Park, KS) had nine digs, while Cameryn Bucknor (Huntsville, AL) finished with 15 assists.

Jamika Coleman and Paige Eason led Rust with eight kills apiece. Annie Narvaez had 21 digs, while Gabriella Gabriel finished with 15 assists.

Oakwood visits Fisk University Thursday night in its regular season finale. First serve is at 6 p.m.
