Shawn Medlock

COACHING CAREER
Medlock served as an assistant volleyball coach at J.O. Johnson High School in 2001. She also was the volleyball coach for Xtreme Performance, an AAU club, from 2018-2019.
                                                                                                                                             
PLAYING CAREER
 Medlock was a standout volleyball player at Alabama A&M University.

She was a four-year letter-winner from 1996-2000, helping the Bulldogs win Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships and Southwestern Athletic Conference championships. Medlock, an outside hitter at Alabama A&M, was named Most Valuable Player in 1997-1998 and 1999-2000, Co-captain of the team in 1999 and SWAC Player of the Year and All-Tournament team in 1999.

She was inducted into the Alabama A&M Athletic Hall of Fame in ---2011 and in 2019 Medlock was inducted into the Walker County Sports Hall of Fame.

Prior to coming to Alabama A&M,  Medlock lettered in volleyball, basketball, softball and track and field at then-Walker County High School in Jasper, Al.

Medlock is the proud mother of a Shih Tzu mix named Ziggy.
