OAKWOOD VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO TUSKEGEE IN HARD-FOUGHT MATCH

HUNTSVIILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University put up a valiant effort against Tuskegee University, an NCAA Division II program Monday night, but the Ambassadors came up a short as the Golden Tigers emerged with a hard-fought 3-0 win inside Ashby Auditorium.
 
Oakwood fell 21-25, 21-25 and 18-25.
 
The loss dropped the Ambassadors to 1-7 on the season. The Golden Tigers improved to 6-6.
 
Kamaria Murray led Oakwood with eight kills. Massiah Sterling and Harmonie Banks finished with six and five kills, respectively.
 
Alexis Wiley finished with 19 assists, while Hannah Daniel had 15 digs.
 
Wiley had seven digs, while Murray finished with six. Sterling and Shania McKelvey had five digs each.
 
Carymn Lawson led Tuskegee with 13 kills. Najwa Williams finished with 10 kills.
 
Sahnee Dillahunt-Nedd had a game-high 19 assists.
 
Sakiah Logan finished with 20 digs, while Lawson added 11.
 
Oakwood is back in action tonight when it visits Talladega College. First serve is 7.
