OAKWOOD'S BUCKNOR RELEASES 2026 VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University volleyball, coming off of its third straight postseason appearance, will play a grueling 28-game schedule, including 12 home games, head coach Wayne Bucknor announced today.

The Ambassadors open the season Wednesday at home against Johnson College. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. inside Ashby Auditorium.

Oakwood's first road game is Tuesday at Bryan College. The Ambassadors' first HBCUAC game is Thursday September 10 at Fisk University.

In addition to a difficult conference slate, Oakwood will also play home and home matches against NCAA Division II foes Tuskegee University, Miles College and LeMoyne-Owen College, along with Bryan College, Bethel College and Welch College, who are all quality NAIA opponents.

"We've got a difficult schedule," Bucknor said. "The conference has improved and when you consider we're playing three Division II schools and a number of other competitive NAIA programs, we'll have to be ready to play every night."

The Ambassadors will play 12 home and home HBCUAC matches against Fisk, Talladega College, Stillman College, Wilberforce University, Tougaloo College and Rust College.
