OAKWOOD'S ADAMS NAMED HBCUAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University guard Trenisha Adams was named the HBCU Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week league officials announced Monday.
 
Adams, a 5-foot-5 senior from Rome, Ga., had an outstanding week leading the Ambassadors to a 1-1 record.
 
She averaged 24.5 points per game on 61.2 percent (19-of-31) shooting, including 55.5 percent (10-of-18) shooting from 3-point range. Adams also had five rebounds, seven assists and seven steals.
 
Adams had 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and five steals in a loss to Stillman College, but bounced back and poured in 31 points to go along with two rebounds, five assists and two steals in a win over Wilberforce University.
 
Oakwood, who leads the East Division with a 7-1 league record, is back in action Thursday at Rust College.
