ADAMS NAMED OAKWOOD'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Trenisha Adams, a 5-foot-5 senior guard from Rome, Ga., has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 25.
 
Adams had an outstanding week in a pair of games for the Ambassadors.
 
On Tuesday, Adams scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including two 3-pointers, had three rebounds, two assists and five steals in a loss at Stillman College.
 
Two days later, Adams poured in 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including 8-of-12 from beyond the arc, had two rebounds, five assists and two steals in a win over Wilberforce University.
 
All total, Adams averaged 24.5 points on 61.2 percent shooting (19-of-31), including 55.5 percent from 3-point range (10-of-18), had five rebounds, seven assists and seven steals.
