OAKWOOD MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO JOHNSON UNIVERSITY IN SEASON OPENER

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Neriah Bean had five saves and Alessandro Davis and Moral Uwineza each had a shot on goal, but it wasn't enough as the Oakwood University men's soccer team fell 8-0 to Johnson University in the season opener for both teams Monday afternoon.
 
Robert Platt and Felipe Evans scored two goals apiece to pace the Royals. Johnson outshot Oakwood 29-3, including 14-2 in shots on goal.
 
Johnson scored three goals in the first half and tacked on five more in the second half.
 
The Ambassadors will try to pick up their first win of the season Friday when they visit Blue Mountain College.
