OAKWOOD'S BUCKNOR RELEASES VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University volleyball, coming off back-to-back postseason appearances, will play a 21-game schedule, including 10 home games, head coach Wayne Bucknor announced today.
 
The Ambassadors open the season Friday at the Talladega College Labor Day Tournament.
 
Oakwood will take on Talladega College at 10 a.m., in its HBCU Athletic Conference opener, before taking on Baptist University of Florida at noon.
 
The Ambassadors will host Miles College on Thursday Sept. 4 in their home opener.
 
"I like our schedule," Bucknor said. "In addition to our conference games, we've got home and road games with Miles College and Tuskegee University, a pair of NCAA Division II schools, and we have some quality NAIA programs, such as Welch College and Tennessee Southern.
 
"Our schedule will challenge us to be our best every single time we play."
 
Bucknor's team will play 10 HBCUAC games. Oakwood will host Fisk University on Thursday Sept. 11 in its conference home opener.
 
The Ambassadors will play home and away conference matches against Talladega College, Fisk University, Wilberforce University, Rust College and Stillman College.
