KEYS, MURRAY POWER OAKWOOD PAST WAU FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

TAKOMA PARK, Md. – Saniya Keys and Kamaria Murray combined for 48 points to help Oakwood University outlast Washington Adventist University 79-74 Sunday afternoon in a non-conference women's basketball game.
 
The win, Oakwood's fourth straight, lifted the Ambassadors to 5-4 on the season. The Shock, who have now lost three straight games, fell to 4-3.
 
Keys put together one of her most dominant efforts of the season, finishing with 26 points and 18 rebounds. She was 10-of-16 from the field and had two assists, one steal and one block.
 
Murray finished with 22 points and five rebounds, She was only 6-of-17 from the field, but made five 3-pointers to go along with seven assists, five steals and two blocks.
 
The Ambassadors shot 38.3 percent (26-of-68) from the field, including 22.6 percent (7-of-31) from 3-point range, and 55.6 percent (20-of-36) from the free throw line.
 
Isabe Lujan-Gonzales led WAU with 18 points. Angeleen Mulero finished with 14 points, while Heather Middleton had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
 
The Shock shot 32.9 percent (24-of-73) from the field, including 25 percent (7-of-28) from beyond the arc, and70.4 percent (19-of-27) from the charity stripe.
 
Oakwood is back in action Wednesday at Troy University in an exhibition game at 12 p.m.
