ABRAHAMS, BEAN LEAD OAKWOOD MEN'S SOCCER PAST TALLADEGA COLLEGE FOR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Isaac Abrahams scored in the 50^th minute and Neriah Bean pitched a shutout as Oakwood University men's soccer blanked Talladega College 1-0 Monday afternoon in an HBCU Athletic Conference game at Multipurpose Field.

It was the Ambassadors' first win since beating Union College Oct. 11, 2024 in the Adventist Tournament.

Oakwood improved to 1-4 overall and 1-1 in league play with the victory. Talladega College fell to 0-5 and 0-1.

Abrahams, who has scored both of Oakwood's goals this season, had two of the Ambassadors' five shots on the day, including its lone goal.

Michee Florimond, Akio Hirata and Moral Uwineza also had shots for Oakwood. Florimond and Uwineza had a shot on goal apiece.

Bean finished with eight saves enroute to the victory.

Oakwood will try to make it two in a row Saturday when it visits Wiley College.
