MURRAY NAMED HBCUAC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University's Kamaria Murray was named the HBCU Athletic Conference's Freshman of the Week, league officials announced Monday.

Murray, a 5-foot-8 freshman guard from Murfreesboro, TN, averaged 15 points, four rebounds, 3.5 assists and three steals per game in two contests in the Talladega HBCUAC POD inside the Billy Hawkins Student Activity Center over the weekend.

She scored 18 points and had four rebounds and four steals Friday against Philander Smith on Friday and then had 12 points, five assists and two steals in Saturday's win over the University of the Virgin Islands.
