OAKWOOD VOLLEYBALL HOSTS SUNO IN IMPORTANT GCAC DOUBLEHEADER

Oakwood University volleyball will welcome Southern University of New Orleans to Ashby Auditorium for an important Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Ambassadors enter the game 4-9 overall and 2-6 in league play. Oakwood is coming off of a 3-0 home loss to defending GCAC regular season champion Dillard Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, the Knights are 0-1 and 0-1, having lost 3-0 at Fisk University Friday night.

Trinity Williams (Midlothian, TX) leads Oakwood with 94 kills. Shaniya Brown (Dallas, TX) has a team-high 140 digs, while Cameryn Bucknor (Huntsville, AL) leads the team with 230 assists.

Holly Richardson led SUNO with four kills in the loss to Fisk. Richardson and Savannah Hadley had five digs, while Malaysia Hudson had four. Alana Mumphrey led the way with five assists.
