WILLIAMS BACK IN THE LINEUP AS OAKWOOD VISITS FISK

Oakwood University volleyball will welcome one of its key players back tonight when it visits Fisk University in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Freshman Trinity Williams (Midlothian, TX) has missed the last three-plus games with a sprained wrist, but is expected to return against the Bulldogs. First serve is set for 6 p.m. at Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.

Despite missing the last three-plus games, Williams still leads the Ambassadors in kills with 113. She is also third in aces (18) and blocks (15) and fourth in digs (112).

"We're excited to have her back," Oakwood coach Takhera Sanders said. "Hopefully, she can give us a big boost being back in the lineup. More importantly, we'll have her back for the conference tournament."

The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference tournament is next month in Bossier City, La.

Cammora Robinson (Atco, NJ) will also be back tonight. She has been out the last four games with a sprained shoulder.

Oakwood enters tonight's game 7-13 overall and 5-10 in league play. Fisk is 18-12 and 12-3. The Bulldogs beat the Ambassadors 3-0 back on Oct. 1 at Ashby Auditorium.

Freshman Shaniya Brown (Dallas, TX) leads the Ambassadors with 227 digs, while Cameryn Bucknor (Huntsville, AL) has a team-high 312 assists.

Iyanla Thigpen leads Fisk with 209 kills. Jadyn Brackens has a team-high 470 digs, while Nebthet Re has a team-high 654 assists.
