OAKWOOD MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO TOUGALOO

 
Raphael Sende scored two goals and Akio Lopez added another one, but it wasn't enough as Oakwood men's soccer fell 6-3 to Tougaloo College Friday afternoon at University Field.

Sende, who is from Makurdi, Nigeria, staked the Ambassadors to a 1-0 lead eight minutes into the game. Nine minutes later, Sende scored again to put Oakwood on top 2-0.

Unfortunately, Tougaloo scored three goals over the next 25 minutes to take a 3-2 lead at intermission.

Lopez (Gunma, Japan) scored in the 52nd minute to tie the game at 3-3, but the Bulldogs scored the last two goals of the game to come away with the 6-3 victory.

The loss, Oakwood's fourth straight, dropped the Ambassadors to 0-4-1.

Oakwood goalkeeper Gaston Prophete (Atlanta, GA) finished with 12 saves.

Tougaloo had 19 shots on goal, while Oakwood managed only five.
